This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") describes conduct that is prohibited when you access or use any part of the Service operated by MKRTNK LLC, a Washington limited liability company doing business as "Makertank" ("Makertank," "we," "us," or "our"), including makertank.com, beta.makertank.com, join.makertank.com, app.makertank.com (also reachable at portos.makertank.com), vip.makertank.com, admin.makertank.com, investors.makertank.com, and shop.makertank.com. This Policy is incorporated into, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service, available at app.makertank.com/legal/terms. Questions: legal@makertank.com

1. Illegal Use

You may not use the Service for any purpose that is illegal under applicable law, or to facilitate, promote, or conceal illegal activity, including money laundering, fraud, or the sale of illegal goods or services.

2. Intellectual Property Infringement

You may not upload, submit, or transmit through the Service any content that infringes, misappropriates, or violates the intellectual-property rights, including copyright, trademark, patent, or trade-secret rights, of any third party, and you may not use the Service to circumvent technical protection measures applied to third-party content.

3. Harassment and Abusive Conduct

You may not use the Service to harass, threaten, defame, or abuse any person, or to post or transmit content that is unlawfully discriminatory, or that promotes violence against any individual or group.

4. Malware and Security Abuse

You may not introduce viruses, worms, malware, or other harmful code into the Service, attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or network connected to the Service, probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without our prior written authorization, or interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or the data it contains, including through denial-of-service attacks.

5. Scraping and Rate Abuse

You may not use bots, scrapers, crawlers, or other automated tools to access, extract, or index data from the Service except through documented, authorized APIs, and even then, subject to the rate limits we impose. You may not attempt to circumvent rate limits, feature gates, or role-based access controls, or use multiple accounts to evade limits or restrictions applicable to a single account.

6. Fraudulent or Misrepresented Financial and Business Data

You may not knowingly submit false, fraudulent, or materially misleading information in any part of the Service, including business identity, contact, revenue, industry, or team-size fields collected during onboarding; Employer Identification Numbers or other business-verification (KYB) data; proposal, budget, or project information submitted through the /apply flow; or financial data connected from a third-party accounting system. Misrepresenting your identity, your business's legitimacy, or your financial condition to obtain access to features, favorable terms, or investor introductions is a serious violation of this Policy and may be reported to relevant authorities where appropriate.

If you use Cascade Recorder or any other recording feature of the Service to capture video or audio that includes another identifiable person, you must obtain that person's consent before recording, consistent with applicable wiretapping, eavesdropping, and privacy laws (which, in Washington and some other states, require the consent of all parties to a recorded conversation). You are solely responsible for obtaining and documenting any consent required, and you may not use the Service to record any person without a lawful basis to do so.

8. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations of this Policy and may take any action we deem appropriate, including removing or disabling access to content, suspending or terminating accounts, reporting conduct to law enforcement or relevant regulators, and pursuing any remedy available under our Terms of Service or applicable law. We are not obligated to monitor the Service for violations of this Policy but may do so at our discretion. If you become aware of a violation of this Policy, please report it to legal@makertank.com.
